The Men's Leadership meeting will be on Sunday, March 5 at 10:30 am.  We will start with a topics session, then finish up our ice-breaker speeches, and conclude with a short lecture.  Men, please be thinking about your sermonette topics: we will be starting those in April.

Do you have a talent, comedy routine, or a skit that you have been wanting to share with the congregation?  Now is your chance!  On Saturday, March 11th we will be having our Columbia Variety Show.  The evening will begin with a potluck meal after Sabbath services followed by a Variety Show after sundown.  We ask that every family bring a favorite potluck meal to share.  Anyone interested in participating in the Variety Show, please contact the individual listed in February's monthly bulletin. 

Our annual Winter Social is Sunday, February 12th.

We are planning a BBQ Crock-Pot cook-off with prizes to the winning BBQ.  Please visit the info table and sign the list to enter as a contestant or as a judge - we need both.  Weather permitting outdoor activities include volleyball, croquet, bean toss, horse shoes, etc.  Bring your favorite table games and/or stringed instrument for a jam session inside the building.

Mark your calendar and make plans to attend this all-day activity!  You will not want to miss out on this wonderful opportunity to gather together for food, fun, and fellowship.

Services will consist of regular services, the Bible study, followed by a potluck meal.

Sabbath, January 21

Augusta & Columbia will have a combined service on January 21 at the Columbia church hall. The service includes a Bible study after services, followed by a themed potluck and game night.

• 3:00 PM Sabbath service, Bible study
• Themed potluck: UK/Britain - England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland (food unique to the UK/Britain ranging from main courses to desserts are encouraged.
• Game night

Rather than having one organized game (like Bunco) on game night, feel free to bring your favorite table game.  However, for those that would like to play a round of Bunco, we will first need to determine if there is enough enthusiasm.  For planning purposes, please sign the list by January 7.  Providing there is sufficient interest, plans will move forward and we will be asking all participants to bring a wrapped white elephant gift (used or new) under $5.

The game night will give everyone the opportunity for extended fellowship.  Plan now to stay and don't miss out on this special occasion!

Reserve the date: Sunday, February 12

Plans are being made for our annual winter social.  Anyone from Florence is welcome to attend this all-day activity. A BBQ Crock-Pot cook-off is being planned with a panel of judges taking on the task of picking a winner!  Families are encouraged to prepare and bring their favorite BBQ recipe served in a crock-pot.  Side dishes complementing the main entree (BBQ) are recommended.  Anyone interested in being a contestant or a judge should sign the list on the information table and indicate via check mark in the appropriate column no later than January 28. Weather permitting, games will be organized outside or bring your favorite game for indoors. Feel free to bring a guitar (or other stringed instrument) and start-up a jam session!
